Seeker FAQ

Q: Is everyone in this directory on your roster?
A: No. Our internal roster for casting has been vetted for quality. If you’d like us to assist you with casting. please inquire here.

Q: Can you cast my fan project / other non-professional project?
A: No, we accept professional work only. This does include non-profits, educational facilities, and indie games on a case by case basis. Please use the public version of the VO Directory as a resource instead.

Q: How do I find an actor by gender?
A: We do not have gender listed on the public directory. Instead, please use the voice range column to filter by the type of voice you are looking for.

Actor FAQ

Q: I don’t see the intake form / directory. Is it not working?
A: The site can be affected by traffic or maintenance. If it’s not loading, try checking back later.

Q: Is all my information, including contact information, public?
A: No. Only certain information is available to the public, and only if you’ve selected to be added to the public directory. The level of privacy of each item is indicated on the intake form. The only contact information available publicly is your website/resume link. This is to help prevent spam and harassment of the directory. Do not include any information you do not want public at this link.

Q: I don’t see my listing yet. Did I do something wrong?
A: While your submission is automatically added to the public directory (if you indicated to submit publicly on the form), the database syncs the information periodically and not always instantly. Your listing may take 24hrs or longer to be visible. If you do not see it after that time, you indicated to have your listing private rather than public.

Q: I’m not sure how to answer a question. What should I do?
A: Make sure to read the important information at the top of the form, and the descriptions on each question. These will help guide you in your responses. You can fill out the form to the best of your ability.

Q: The form is requiring me to fill out a section and won’t let me submit without it. How do I progress without answering?
A: You must fill out all required fields to submit. Required fields are there to gather the necessary information Studio Nano and casting professionals need. If you’re unable to fill out these fields, please return when you have the required information.

Q: Can I ask you a question through your regular email address or through your contact form about the intake form, roster, or directory?
A: Unfortunately no. We are unable to answer these emails. However, we will keep this FAQ up to date as necessary.

Q: The form is so long! Do I really have to resubmit it to update my information?
A: Yes. This is the best way to keep your information in the system. We suggest updating your information only if you have a major change, like moving to a new market or only accepting union jobs. Other common updates, like demos, can simply be updated on the page you linked to, rather than resubmitting the form.

Q: I haven’t received an audition from you. Why haven’t you sent me an audition?
A: Submitting does not guarantee you will be added to our internal roster. Additionally, we cannot guarantee when you may receive an audition from us. There are many factors that affect if/when we have auditions and who receives them. This being the case, we cannot give you an ETA on when we may have an audition for you.

Q: Will I be notified if I was accepted to/rejected from the internal roster?
A: No. Due to volume, we can’t send out personal notifications to applicants.
